Our last day

Our last class started at P.M.9:30. At first, we answered questionnaires about our two classes and programs. After that, we met our teachers. I heard about my presentation with group members and took a paper which my score was written on from them. Next, we had some games. We made 5 groups, each group has seven members. A teacher chose one ward and written that on paper. One of group member saw it and made gestures to tell us. This was fun game.
From P.M.6, we had dinner at a hotel. We enjoyed the dinner. After the dinner, some people had speeches. Our leader, Kouhei Ichikawa had, too. I think his speech was fun and nice. We were given Certification of Partificipation, calendar, our pictures used, and T shirt. At last, we took pictures.
While we return to UVIC, we saw night view of Downtown of Victoria. It, especially The Empress Hotel and The Preliament Building was really beautiful.

I really enjoyed this trip and I had a lot of valuable experiences in the program. I will not forget the trip. Thank you so much.

Last day in UVic

It was last day in UVic. at first, we went to the CST building to evaluate this EAP program. After that, we received the feedback of the yesterday presentation from our teachers, Daug and Ocean. They praised our work, and point out our weakness. That will benefit us, I thought. After all team received their feedback, we all played game. The game was like gesture game. And our team wined! It was excited.
Afterward, from 6:00 p.m, we had a party at a hotel. We went in formal suit. Everyone was so cool. In the party, we ate dinner(which was delicious) and hear the some speech. One of speech was our student leader’s speech. Our leader, Kohei, made a speech. It was excellent. After that, we took many pictures with friends , teachers and CAs. I had a very good time today.
Tomorrow is the departure. Victoria was very nice city, so I’ll miss Victoria after going back Japan.
We have to assemble at 5:20 a.m. I’m so afraid of oversleeping. So I’m going to stay up until morning.

This is my last turn.

My first class was Ocean's. First, we looked up sixteen words in a dictionary and wrote sentences using these words. These vocabulary was needed in business Seminar in the afternoon. After that, we wrote a letter to Steve Parkhill, who is owner of Roger's Chocolates. My group visited him and had an interview whith him on Aug. 14th. So, we saied thanks to him in the letter.
My next class was Doag's. Today was important for us because we had a rehearsal of our presentation on this Thursday. My group didn't finish the preparation of the rehearsal. So, today, we have to do that. After the rehearsal, Doag adviced some points us.

In the afternoon, we had business Seminar. Today, our guest was Christie Eng and we heard about business. She talked about five things. first, she talked about relationships. Next, her story was about research. After that, we heard about small decisions based on the larger world. Her presentation's next part was bi-products and the environment. At last, she talked about corporate culture and personal values. We learned not only about bisiness, but also the way of presentation from her presentation.

From P.M.7, we have a program, 'Come and watch Culture Night'. I wanted to go and watch it. But I didn't join it because I have many homeworks, today.

I hope our presentation will succeed.

Today's my first class was Ocean's. We trained for our survey. At first, my group made 10 questions about music and each did the survey to three students. After that, we wrote the result of it. Today, we have to do the survey about Rogers' Chocolates to 20 to 30 Japanese.

Second class was Doag's. Today, we had presentations. We presented about new leather production. My group's idea was schoolbag made of leather. I talked introduction. When other groups presented, we wrote their good points or weak points. It was difficult for me not to read paper and speak fluently.

After lunch, we were supposed to listen to a guest presenting about their management. Tody's gest company was sea fun safari. But our gest had some happening and he couldn't come at 2p.m. So, we became free.

I asked CA where was famous place in downtown of Vancouver and where we had better buy presents for my family and friends. They said if I want to go shopping, Robson Street is good. But if I want to enjoy other things, Stanley Park is good because the park is very famous and beautiful place. Canada Place is famouse, too. But we can visit similar place in Victoria. So, I want to visit Stanley Park. I really look forward to go to Vancouver.

The free day

Hi, this is Shogo. It was the first time for us to have no class in a day. We do something different from a person to a person. So, I would like to tell you about my story.

I woke up at 11pm, and went to Kohei's room because we promised each other to wake up. On the way to his room, I found Keita, and he said, "they four ( Hisashi, Takumi, Sosuke, and Kohei) went to the downtown, you know?" I was lost to their group! So I went to Naoshige's room to wake him up. We two had lunch at the cafeteria at noon, and went to the downtown to look for them and to buy souvenirs.

First, we went to the souvenir shops. I have to buy souvenirs for many people, but I bought all what I have to buy. But it might be heavy to carry when in airport.
Second, we went to the restaurant named “the noodle box” to have supper. The dish is like Japanese udon, but it tastes like Thailand food.
Third, we went to go cycling, to see the beautiful spots. It takes no costs so we rent a bike.

However, you know, we couldn’t find the four friends. It was a good time, but we feel loneliness.
